the project
Aviva were in the midst of a complete global digital rebranding project, with re-platforming of most of the consumer facing sites. Pre my involvement, Aviva had engaged with two third party design agencies, but hadn't agreed on a solid direction.
The overall proposition for Aviva on my hiring was to determine a creative direction, still engage with 3rd parties where deliverables were still due and mange these.
Alongside this was a huge design system of design rules and attributes that needed to be produced to cater all B2C sites.
the solution
Over 12 months I assisted in guiding stakeholders through process and proposing creative direction based on and adding to the current collateral.
I put presentations together which I delivered to board level stakeholders, detailing how as a department we would deliver based on the engagements that had already taken place.
As well as holistic creative strategy, I assisted in 3rd part agency delivery management as well as designing key parts to the 'framework' the internal design system.
Once in place I spent time implementing new UI designs across agile projects adhering to the new design system while continuing to present progress to senior stakeholders.
